The essays collected for this scholarly review would be difficult to find with out this publication. Extremely helpful. I found this book at the University library, but will probably purchase for my personal library.

I found this book to be an excellent scholarly review of existing knowledge about Chartres Cathedral. Although somewhat dated, it has held up well and most of the articles provided an interesting perspective on a unique edifice.

Extremely bad black and white photos of appalling clarity and outdated articles mean a total waste of money in my view.
