A BIT DISAPPOINTED

I was disappointed in Tamia's behavior, sonsidering all the trouble she's been through. It's seems like this woman didn't have an ounce of fight in her when it comes to Dominic. I really thought Tamia had learned her lesson after doing time in prison. Instead she came out just as naive as she went in, and allowed this man to play her for a fool once again. I wanted to see growth in this book, I wanted to see a new Tamia. Not this naive, gullible woman who can't tell the difference between her friends and enemies.

Inspite of it all, things turned out well for Tamia.

Hands down this is a damn good book!!

I literally read this book in one day!! I was hooked and just couldn't put it down. The whole series is just amazing. Noami Chase worked her magic on these books. A must read.....the whole series. I hate that i finished the story. I want more!!!!

Exciting adventure

While I am usually a fantasy/young adult driven reader, this book sucked me in immediately. The author painted a detailed description of the players, the action and the setting of this Cold War novel. James Quinn's world of espionage kept me guessing until the last moment. The spy world has never seen anyone like Jack "Gorilla" Grant ---Tough, driven killing machine with a big heart underneath.

With all of this knowledge of the spy word, I left feeling that I might be able to join the spy world with the information that I now have in hand.

One hell of a good read!

Nail biting suspense, enough action to keep even the most jaded adrenaline junky engrossed. A Game For Assassins delves into the dark underbelly of spies during The Cold War in wonderfully dark and gritty detail. Lots of action, detailed descriptions of exotic weapons and how they were used. A must read for anyone that has an interest in spies, The Cold War, guns, spies, and spying. :)
After reading this book I'm pondering getting myself a S&W Model 39.

A spy story you have to read

My first encounter with SIS was through books. I was in secondary school and a class mate who was devouring a spy series gave me two of the books in the series. They were both fun, with tons of James Bond-like action and way more raunchy sex. Entertaining, but not mind gamey enough for me. Of course, more movies and spy stories followed, and you might not know this, but I even considered attending the Romanian Secret Service uni. Yes, they have one, and they had a communications department that wasn’t a far stretch from Journalism. Sorry for the background details, but I wanted you to know what expectations and thrill I was experiencing when starting A Game for Assassins.
To say I was sucked in from the start is an understatement. The Cold War feel, the action scenes spread across the world, the agents and double agents, the planning and the counter measures, they were all a whirlwind. When you finally start to piece some stuff together and grasp who’s fighting who, you’re in for another surprise and are left biting your nails, waiting to see what happens next.
Low tech, high on skills that go far beyond assassinations, this is one gripping old school spy story! There is not clear cut good guy, because we are talking assassins who would terminate you without blinking if you were in their way. Yet Gorilla is a force to be reckoned with. And to be in awe of. The action and story line span across continents, several years, and keep you moving from one place to another in a heart stopping race to save lives and keep secrets as they should be: buried.
Unfortunately, this is an action story with a lot of puzzle pieces you’ll have to figure out on your own, so I can’t go into a lot of detail without spoiling your fun. What I can say is… you’ll love it if this is your kind of read. And if it’s not, it might just turn you into a new fan of the genre.

Don't buy. No test prep to study or software

Don't buy it. No software that is supposedly included, the first 20 pages are only information about an ATC career and the hiring process - all info that can be found online. The next 20 pages are a diary about someone's ATC Academy experience. Then there's a practice test with an answer key and a glossary. What is there to study??? I learned nothing about ATC and don't see how this is test prep. Buy an ATC textbook or something else instead to learn more.

About the Author
In addition to the author's military activities as reported in this book his primary occupation was as an educator. Upon the receipt of his bachelor's degree, he worked for the Milwaukee Public School System. He taught fi rst at North Division Junior and Senior High School as an English and social studies teacher. He then transferred to Kosciusko Middle School where he developed a program in remedial reading. During this time he completed a master's degree. He then embarked on the pursuit of a PhD at the University of Wisconsin in its Department of Educational Psychology. Following his completion of his PhD degree, he taught at the State University at Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Indiana State University, and Marquette University in the City of Milwaukee. While at Indiana he accepted a one year post-doctoral fellowship at the Wisconsin Research and Development Center, Madison, Wisconsin. His publications consisted of twenty-one articles, eleven monographs, one book, one chapter in a book, one book review, and one abstract. At Marquette University he directed fi fty-seven dissertations and twenty-one master essays. He was also active as a board member at Marquette's Center for Equal Employment Opportunities sponsor by The Law Enforcement Assistances Administration of The United States Justice Department. Lastly, he received grants from the United States Department of Education in an amount of about one half million dollars.

Loved the novel and cannot wait for the third!!

I loved Marc Edelheit's second novel, I cannot wait for the third installment. The plot kept me wholly engaged and in suspense in relation to the twists that developed through to the excellent world building. The nature of the story was told from someone who knows their Roman History. My only complaint is that the book wasn't longer as I became completely engrossed in the story. Hoping that the next novel is not long in coming.

The second novel in the series is as good as the first. As Stiger's world unfolds it becomes more intriguing. The set piece battle scenes are written really well. I cannot wait for book 3.

If you like Stories about the Roman legions mixed with a bit of fantasy, you will love these books.

Well Worth Waiting For

I have been impatiently waiting for this book for some time as I loved the first one. My only complaint is that this one ended too soon and leaves me impatiently waiting once again for the next volume. This book does not disappoint and is exciting to read. We have plenty of Roman Legion style military action, intrigue and a bit more of the fantasy storyline than the first volume......but it doesn't come anywhere near overwhelming the rest of the story.

I highly recommend this book. Legions, dwarfs, elves and a wizard or two.... what more could you want? The Tiger is a big winner!!!
