About the Author
Frank Ayres Jr., PhD, was formerly professor and head of the Department of Mathematics at Dickinson College, Carlisle, Pennsylvania. He is the author of eight Schaum's Outlines.
Robert E. Moyer taught mathematics at Southwest Minnesota State University. He received his Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics Education from the University of Illinois in 1974. From Southern Illinois University he received his Master of Science in 1967 and his Bachelor of Science in 1964, both in Mathematics Education.

Bar None the Best Trigonometry Book There Is.

5/13: Schaum's Outlines: Trigonometry is so good that it's actually my basis of what I know about trigonometry. Thanks to the book: my foundation of trigonometry translated to success in Calculus. Everything I know about trigonometry starts with Schaum's Outlines: Trigonometry. I solved every problem in the book, and the clouds got smaller and smaller every time I do a problem. The explanations by the authors are very clear and concise. Probably the only missing segment in the book is what happens when you see a segment of a sinusoid and are asked to derive an equation from that. Not to worry, Schaum's Outlines: Trigonometry covers about 95% of the essential materials about trigonometry. All in all, do every problem in Schaum's Outlines: Trigonometry from cover to cover, and you will be surprised how well prepared you will be for Calculus and beyond.

Schaum's, The Only Good Solution For College Kids

Great book, arrived super fast, the solutions are given and the book is easy to follow. It's the same as when I was in college, except it includes online help too. Very nice!

what is presented gives the student a good idea of how to tackle certain problems

Where are the sections on logarithms and exponential functions? I understand that this is an outline, but aren't these important trig topics? Why aren't there any problems involving reflected trig graphs. There is a section on graphs; why not include a few negative graphs? This is very frustrating. So, now, I have to find another supplement. However, what is presented gives the student a good idea of how to tackle certain problems.
